Isola Design District - 6 Designers From Isola Design District You Must Keep An Eye On Isola Design District aims to give more visibility to emerging designers and independent studios.  In an online platform, where awesome ideas flow free, the best thing you can do is be innovative and stand out. On this year’s digital edition those are the designers and studios that attracted our attention: 1. Wisse Trooster  | Netherlands Sustainable materials are always a good choice. Using layers of corrugated cardboard and acrylics made from recycled plastic, Wisse was able to create elegant lamps.   © 900 Cardboard Pendant  - photo by Vere Maagdenberg and Wisse Trooster © Circular Wall Lamp - photo by Vere Maagdenberg and Wisse Trooster 2. Encru | Spain  In collaboration with the design studio 38 grados, Encru designed Junts table lamp, defined by the interaction with users and clean lines combined with beautiful colors.   © Junts Table Lamp - Reproduction from Encru Website 3. Fransje Gimbrère | Netherlands  Franje’s work is a result of techniques and new materials experiments, creating wondrous moments. In the designer’s words, “‘Luxury Fences’ was made with the intention to use elemental materiality, such as metal, in the interior in a way that it would bring grace and elegancy”. These architectural embellishing textiles became a collection of pieces of jewelry for interior spaces.   © Luxury Fences - photos courtesy of Fransje Gimbrère © Luxury Fences - photos courtesy of Fransje Gimbrère Next year's Milan Design Week, ‘Luxury Fences’ will be at Palazzo Francesco Turati and we can´t wait to see it! 4. Bio360° Organic Architecture | Colombia In a new era where the interior space of our houses is so important, Modular Plants Wall couldn´t be a better fit. Easy and fast to build, it allows everyone to have their own vertical garden.   © Modular Plant Wall - photo reproduction from Isola Design District website © Modular Plant Wall - photo reproduction from Isola Design District website 5. Formanuda Design | Italy Exploring interactions between humans, objects and space, Formanuda develops products full of life and motion. Indeterminate shapes turn those lamps into changeable elements that are sleek and sculptural.   But as defined by Formanuda “the public is the real subject”.   © Run Around - photo reproduction from Formanuda website © Dirty Dancing - photo reproduction from Formanuda website 6. The Good Plastic Company | Netherlands  Environmentally friendly panels produced by The Good Plastic Company from recycled plastic is a great choice for furniture. Besides being sustainable, it also has a beautiful texture.   This panel’s high quality is associated with the lowest ecological footprint possible. It is also easily recycled, extending its use indefinitely. The following bookshelf (designed by the Danish architects Iryna Tsyoma and Ole Storjohann) was made by oak and Good Plastic Timeless Duo panels. © Photos reproduction from The Good Plastic Company website   Article written by Fernanda Lucchini from Design Insiders
